Allison Lyle is a trainer and practicing engineering consultant focused on applying and elevating systems thinking to domains where physical, ecological and social systems are deeply intertwined. She is driven to pragmatically deploy Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to analyze and build resilient, effective systems.
Her experience and expertise includes work in the medical device and sustainability domains. She has led the development of several medical device systems spanning the full product development cycle, from operational and stakeholder analyses to technical feasibility assessments, design, regulatory submission, manufacturing and commercialization. She has now shifted her focus upstream to the systems which generate the technical and biological resources on which our health, happiness and economies rely.
Allison’s personal and professional life has been an ongoing quest to understand how people and systems interact with their environments. Allison holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, as well as a B.A. in Communications from the University of Iowa.
