This course provides executives and decision-makers with a high-level introduction to Systems Modeling Language (SysML) – the industry-standard language for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Participants will gain a foundational understanding of the four pillars of SysML, explore the nine diagram types, and learn how each diagram serves a unique purpose in systems engineering. The course will also cover essential SysML syntax and offer guidance on how to interpret models effectively. While participants will not be modeling themselves, they will develop the knowledge needed to engage with model-based discussions and make informed decisions about MBSE initiatives.
This course is designed for executives, managers, and decision-makers who need to understand SysML at a conceptual level to facilitate MBSE adoption, oversee system development efforts, and engage effectively with engineering teams.
To fully engage with this course participants will need a computer with internet access and a large screen or external monitor. The instructor will be demonstrating SysML diagrams, and a larger screen will improve clarity and readability. A small phone or tablet is not recommended. It is also encouraged to have a working microphone – participants are encouraged to ask questions and engage in discussions throughout the session.
